Privacy Policy
What we collect, where it goes, and how to get rid of it. This describes the app as it actually works today — including the parts where your training information is sent to an AI provider.
01Who we are
Connetic is operated by Connetic. This policy covers the Connetic web app at connetic.fit and its installable version. Questions, or any request under this policy, go to connetic.fit@gmail.com.
02What we collect
Account. Your email address and a securely hashed password, held by our authentication provider — we never see your password in readable form. If you sign up with Google we receive your email address and the name and picture on your Google profile. We do not receive your Google password.
Profile. The username and display name you choose, your avatar if you set one, your notification preferences, and your in-app Effort balance.
Training profile — includes health information. If you complete the coach interview or edit your profile later, we store your training experience, goals, available equipment, how many days a week you train, how long your sessions are, exercises you dislike, any free-text notes, and any physical limitations, injuries or conditions you choose to tell us about. That last field is health-related information. You are never required to fill it in, and you can clear it at any time.
Training activity. The workouts and programs you build, every session you run and the exercises in it, the weight and reps you log, how long each set and session took, your personal bests, and the cards you own, rank up and evolve.
Coach conversations. Messages you send to Coach C and the replies, stored so the conversation is still there when you come back.
Social. Friend connections, shared sessions and who took part, reactions and comments, and any blocks or reports you submit. If you invite someone by email, we store the address you entered in order to send and redeem the invite.
Uploads. Photos or demonstration clips you attach to your own custom exercise cards.
Technical. If you enable notifications, the push endpoint your browser issues. If you subscribe, an identifier for your customer and subscription records from our payment processor — we never receive or store your card number. Plus product analytics events and automatic crash reports.
Session recordings. During the beta we record how the app is used — taps, scrolls and navigation — so we can see where it confuses people. Text you type is masked before it leaves your device, as is the content of your coach conversations and anything you write about injuries or limitations. We see that you typed, not what you typed.
03Your training information is sent to an AI provider
When you use Coach C, the onboarding interview, AI Quick Start or the AI deck and workout builders, we send the relevant parts of your training profile — including any limitations or injuries you recorded — along with your message and a list of exercises in your library to Anthropic, which operates the Claude model that generates the response. If you are not comfortable with that, leave the limitations field empty and avoid the AI features; the rest of Connetic works without them.
We send what the model needs to answer and no more. We do not send your email address, your password, your payment details or your social graph.
04How we use it
- To run the app: your account, your library, your workouts and your history.
- To generate the training suggestions you ask for.
- To show you to the people you have chosen to connect with, at the visibility you set.
- To send the notifications and reminders you have turned on.
- To take payment if you subscribe.
- To understand which features get used, and to find out when the app breaks.
- To investigate reports and keep shared features usable.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your training data to advertise to you.
05Who else processes it
We use a small number of service providers, each handling only what their job requires:
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage. Holds essentially all of section 2.
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
- Anthropic — the AI features, as described in section 3.
- Stripe — payments. Your card details go to Stripe directly and never reach us.
- PostHog — product analytics, crash reporting and the masked session recordings described above.
- Resend — transactional and reminder email.
- Your browser's push service (Apple, Google or Mozilla, depending on your device) — delivering push notifications, if you enable them.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. These providers operate in the United States, so your information is processed there.
06What other people can see
Your username, display name and avatar are visible to people who can find your profile. Sessions carry a visibility setting that you control. Shared sessions are visible to the people invited to them, and friends can see the activity you share with them. Your training profile, your coach conversations, your email address and your billing details are never shown to other users.
07Keeping it and deleting it
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. Ask us at connetic.fit@gmail.com and we will delete your account and the data attached to it — profile, training profile, sessions, cards, coach conversations and uploads.
Two things survive by design: content you contributed to a shared session that other people also took part in may remain in their history, and we keep the records we need for accounting or to comply with the law. Backups roll off on their own schedule.
08Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, or to complain to a data protection authority. Write to the address above and we will respond; we will not treat you differently for asking.
09Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to your rows is enforced in the database itself, per row, rather than only in the app — so a bug in a screen cannot hand your history to someone else. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise otherwise; use a strong, unique password.
10Children
Connetic is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
11Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top, and we will tell you in the app before anything material takes effect. Continuing to use Connetic after that means the new version applies. See also our Terms of Service and Health & Fitness Disclaimer.
